Shipping: What Everyone Is Missing

Shipping is often seen as e-commerce’s biggest headache. It is expensive, unreliable, and a constant source of bad reviews. By treating delivery only as a problem to minimize, brands fail to recognize its true potential. Shipping is not simply a challenge to overcome. It is also the most powerful and most overlooked opportunity in the entire customer journey.
Most retailers believe they have figured it out by having couple of delivery options. In reality, they are ignoring the only moment where the customer physically connects with their brand. That blind spot quietly erodes loyalty, reduces retention, and drains brand equity.
In this talk, I would like to focus on my experience at Printful - leading global logistics at Latvian Print on Demand Unicorn and now building Swotzy from the ground up to uncover what the industry is missing. I will show why delivery can no longer be treated as a back-office function and must instead be recognized as the front line of brand trust.
I will explore how artificial intelligence and data are beginning to reshape shipping, where their true impact lies, and where expectations exceed reality.
Finally, I will share how forward-thinking brands can transform logistics from a cost center into a driver of growth and loyalty with very practical tips and insights from serving more than thousand ecommerce brands.
The main aim is to look at new perspective: shipping is not just something to fix, it is something to own.
